Operations Specialist – Asset Management / Corporate Administration

Position Description:

US Solar is looking for a well-rounded person to support our corporate office in Fairfield, CT. The hire will focus on corporate operations and asset management, but the ideal candidate will have the aptitude and attitude for supporting the company on multiple fronts. This position offers a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with outstanding organizational skills and a strong asset management, administrative, or legal background to join a fast-paced and entrepreneurial company in one of the fastest growing sectors of the energy industry. Our new hire will be responsible for assisting with daily and monthly contract compliance, requiring regular interaction with the company’s finance and development teams. This person will also be responsible for certain administrative, operational and accounting matters, contributing to organizational success. We expect that the best candidates will be those are able to think ahead, find solutions to unique problems, and create efficiencies through technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the asset management team overseeing our fleet of operating solar projects, across the spectrum of: contract compliance, billing/collections, investor reporting, and overall performance tracking
  • Evaluate the performance of existing portfolio investments
  • Maintain cloud-based database of contracts; operate spreadsheets and systems that support data organization and contract management
  • Manage legal entities and records in good standing, including upkeep of corporate databases and organizational charts
  • Establish and maintain systems for contract/invoice administrative procedures- both hard copy files and a digital filing system
  • Support and assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements for multiple entities
  • General administrative duties

  • Contracts and document storage management experience
  • Some understanding of financial accounting and business reporting a plus
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and externally
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Process improvement minded


  • Demonstrated success in work experience and/or education
  • Experience in in energy, legal, accounting, or real estate setting a plus
  • Experience in cloud-based document management systems such as box, Dropbox, or Intralinks a plus
  • Experience in maintaining transaction management and/or asset management systems a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in the fast growing field of solar or renewable energy a plus
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status
